Quincy Alexander - Owner, Songwriter, Producer

Quincy started singing at the age of 8 with a group called the T&H Dancers in Phenix City, Alabama. They entered a local talent show and won first place. Quincy continued singing at church until joining the Army in 1990. He sang and performed with various groups in the military whenever the opportunity arose. In 1997, after severing in Desert Storm, he was honorably discharged from the Army. Quincy knew what he wanted to do. He set out to form an R&B group called Nu Komingz. He is a natural born writer; so writing songs for the album came easy to him. Nu Komingz recorded an album called "In Tha Rain" and signed with an independent label out of Jacksonville Florida. The group shot a video in 2004 for the song "If you don't want this good man." They traveled throughout the southeast performing as opening acts for such artists as, Ginuwine, Rome, Cash Money, Rasheda, Ohio Players, Pastor Troy, Young Jeezy, and Ying Yang Twins.

With talks of an overseas tour in the works, some of the members questioned the direction they were taking. The three years of performing almost every night while still supporting families finally took its toll on the guys. Nu Komingz performed their last show back home at the Civic Center in Columbus Georgia as the opening act for the Ohio Players. The group had decided to end their run as Nu Komingz. The group went back to full time careers, family life, and some of them started solo projects. Quincy had decided that he wasn't done. The music business was not just something to do, but something he loved to do.

He had been working with a rap group by the name of The Scholars. The Scholars had performed at shows with Nu Komingz and had made a remix of the song "If you don't want this good man." After spending countless hours in the studios across the southeast, Quincy decided to purchase studio equipment and open his own. If you hang around Quincy long enough you will hear how much passion he has for the untapped talent and creativity of artists in the southeast.

Quincy has been to the edge of musical stardom, and he was really disturbed with the way the industry treats artistss. He knows the days and nights of traveling far away from family just to be successful, and the sharks in the water that want to take it all from you. With that in mind he has set aside new guidelines for DBF Records. The artists on the DBF Records label have unbelievable record deals, and this time it's in the artistss favor. With the determination and the know-how Quincy is determined to lead his staff and DBF Records to new grounds in the entertainment industry, by paving new roads with artists maintaining their creativity, and keeping more of their share of the revenue. Quincy said, "I would like to thank my supportive staff, families, artists, and fans for all the support so far, without you all we couldn't have got this thing off the ground, and you just wait because you're about to see a couple of the aces we have up our sleeves."

At the early age of 4 Michael began playing the piano. At age 8 he played at North Phenix Baptist Church. Through his high school years he played piano for the high school choir. He went to college for a Degree of Creative Music Technology, and in 1998 he went to live in Nashville, Tennessee. In Nashville he started out at Castle Records as a studio session player. He went on to work for United artists and Hipp Records, both in Nashville. During his time there Michael has performed with Freddie Hart, "Pig" Robbins, Buddy Emmons, and Darrel Clanton. His list of friends includes Skeeter Davis, Freddie Hart, Charley Pride, Charlie Dick, and Mandy Barnett. Country music fans on the staff keep Michael busy telling stories of nights backstage at the Grand Old Opry, and his many musical experiences in "The Music City." Michael was called 2005 by Robbie Thompson to do some session work for DBF Records. While there Michael unveiled some songs he had been working on. The staff was thrilled and Quincy ran to lock the door so he couldn't leave. After a whole lot of begging and pleading, Michael has decided to cut an album with DBF and will be available for songwriting and session playing. They did eventually have to let him out of the studio that day, but not until he promised he would return. Quincy said, "Michel's skills are a songwriting oasis in the musical desert."
